I demand a lot from my gear. Firstly it MUST be functional. Bella Tech is comfortable: long back (warm and covers my bum). The neck line and arm design fits well (NO chaffing!). I am a very sweaty person (yep.) Thankfully the Bella Tech wicks away the moisture, it’s breathable, soft, movable, no rubbing! I also get quite embarrassed because the fabric used in some garments loves to trap that sweat net result : stink. Yuck. Not so with Mons. I can sweat away and the pong doesn’t stay! I thrash my gear. So it must have longevity. Perhaps not so great for Mons product turnover but give me quality over quantity any day. My short sleeve Bella Tech has seen many , many hours of wear. If anything it has stretched and faded over time. But let me clarify what ‘over time’ means. 2 Godzones, numerous adventure races, rogaines and training- an average of 20 hrs per week in the few months leading up to each GZ. So you could probably forgive a bit of stretching and fading! As for the fabric- no holes, no thinning , stitching solid and intact! Finally, the gear has got to look good. Perhaps a frivolous and shallow statement but nonetheless my truth: feel good look good feel good and so on. The cut, design , colour choices and panels create a flattering, fabulous and functional garment.
